About FreeGroup

Although I use the plural everywhere when I talk about FreeGroup, there's only one person in this company. FreeGroup was founded early 1998 in the Germany and is being run by Andreas Herz. We develop a number of great (at least in our opinion) shareware applications for the Web and have many things planned for the future.

FreeGroup - what about the name?

There's no interesting story behind it unfortunately. I had been searching for a name for my company for a long time. I wanted something out of the ordinary and this name came to me at one time and it sort of stayed there.
